McHenry County girl, 4, struck by golf cart

A 4-year-old girl from McHenry County who had been struck by a golf cart has been flown to a Cook County trauma center, authorities said Saturday.
The McHenry Township Fire Protection District responded Saturday to a call from a home on the 7800 block of Valley Hill Road in unincorporated McHenry. Flight for Life was alerted and put on standby, authorities said.
Once emergency crews arrived, they found the girl conscious but complaining of pain. Family members said they believed the girl had been struck by the golf cart and possibly run over, authorities said.
The girl was flown to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, authorities said.
