Lake County football teams will try again Saturday

Rain and lightning wreaked havoc all over the Chicago suburbs Friday night, forcing the postponement of most high school football games.

In Lake County, the following games were rescheduled for Saturday:

• Vernon Hills at North Chicago, 9 a.m. (Vernon Hills leads 30-0 with 9:34 left in the second quarter)

• Zion-Benton at Lake Zurich, 12:30 p.m.

• Lake Forest at Libertyville, 1 p.m.

• Antioch at Round Lake, 2:30 p.m.

• Grant at Lakes, 3 p.m.

• Mundelein at Warren, 4 p.m.

• Marian Catholic at Carmel, 5 p.m.

Inclement weather also postponed Grayslake North's game at Normal Community West on Friday night. The game will be played at 3 p.m. Saturday.
