USS Illinois Committee postpones fundraising event

USS Illinois Committee of the Elgin American Legion Post 57

Due to circumstances beyond control of the USS Illinois Committee of the Elgin American Legion Post 57, the Oct. 3 silent and live auction event is being postponed to a future date yet to be announced.

The fundraising event was scheduled to take place at the Elgin American Legion Post 57 Hall from 6 to 9 p.m.

The USS Illinois Committee of the Elgin American Legion Post 57 will still be collecting donated items for the silent and live auction.

Once new date for this event has been announced, ticket sales will commence again.

The USS Illinois (SSN-786) is a Virginia-class nuclear power submarine. It is the first naval ship to be named after our great state since 1897.
