Arlington Heights man charged with selling drugs to undercover officer
An Arlington Heights man, who prosecutors say sold drugs to undercover officers three times in the past two weeks, was ordered to be held on $150,000 bail on Thursday.
Juan Castaneda was charged with three counts of delivering a controlled substance after prosecutors say he sold between 1.1 and 3.9 grams of suspected cocaine to an undercover officer with the Illinois State Police North Central Narcotics Task Force on Sept. 3, 9 and 15.
Castaneda, 23, was on supervision for possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, at the time, said Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Alyssa Grissom.
Grissom said the transactions took place twice in the 2400 block of Randall Lane and once in the 1400 block of W. Dundee Road.
Castaneda next appears in court on Oct. 8.
