Goose Island Beer Company and WXRT are teaming up to send off summer with two days of music for the Goose Island 312 Urban Block Party at the Fulton Street Brewery. Headliners Matt & Kim and tUnE-yArDs will draw crowds with their offbeat, energetic live sets, but the party is not slouching in the local act department, featuring the likes of Local H, Eleventh Dream Day, Marrow, Sidewalk Chalk and more. Suburban Cowboys, Antioch's tribute to county rock, comes to Palatine's Durty Nellie's for a night of country jams. In the last five years, Suburban Cowboys has built a following with their rollicking covers, featuring hits from traditional artists to current country stars. Fresh from a hometown show kicking off a fall tour at Palatine's Durty Nellie's, twin DJs Paul and James McElwain - better known around the music scene as Milk N Cooks - are dropping their first single from their newly established label Kitchin Records.
