Barbecue, auction to benefit Geneva History Museum

The Geneva History Museum will host a fundraiser barbecue at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, under a tent in the museum parking lot at 113 S. Third St. The evening includes a barbecue dinner grilled on site of pulled pork, chicken wings and bratwurst plus potatoes and salads. A cash bar will be available hosted by Penrose Brewing Company, Stockholm's Restaurant, Fox River Distilling Company, Two Brothers Artisan Brewing, and Solemn Oath Brewery.

Silent and live auctions will feature unique Geneva items and experiences including lanterns from the Mill Race Inn building, letters from the sign of the former CETRON building, a private historic tour followed by dinner, and a day of fishing in Naples and dinner at the Port Royal Club.

Reservations are $45 per person, $40 each for museum members and can be made at GenevaHistoryMuseum.org or by calling (630) 232-4951. All funds raised will support the Geneva History Museum, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to preserve and share Geneva's story while inspiring and engaging the community.
