Drop off old medication Sept. 26 in Elk Grove

Old and unwanted prescription medication can be disposed of safely on Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Elk Grove Village Police Department as part of the 10th National Take-Back Initiative.

Any expired, or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications can be dropped off at the police station from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Liquid products, intravenous solutions and syringes will not be accepted. The initiative is a joint effort between police departments across the country and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

The police department is located at 901 Wellington Ave.
