Williamson leads Vernon Hills' winning effort

Boys cross country

Vernon Hills d. Grant: At Camp Henry Horner, Vernon Hills got a 19-42 win over Grant as Shane Williamson took first place with a 17:01. Vernon Hills also captured second place with both Caleb Ju and Tim Krashevsky each finishing in 17:18. Omid Navidzadeh was Grant's top finisher. He took fourth with a 17:52.

Lake Zurich wins big: At Diamond Lake Park, Lake Zurich defeated both Stevenson (25-31) and Mundelein (17-39). Jared Borowsky of Stevenson took first place with a 15:42 but was followed closely by Lake Zurich brothers Brian (15:47) and Kyle (15:49) Griffith, who took second and third respectively. Uly Hagedorn was Mundelein's top finisher with a 16:45. He finished eighth.
