Lt. Gov. Sanguinetti to speak at Multi-Chamber Business to Business Expo & Luncheon
The Bartlett, Batavia, Elgin, Geneva, St. Charles, and Western DuPage chambers of commerce are hosting the second Fox River Luncheon & Business to Business Expo with guest speaker Lt. Gov. Evelyn Sanguinetti.
The Luncheon and Expo will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at St. Andrews Golf Club, 2241 Route 59, West Chicago. This event will feature sponsored businesses during the Fox River Luncheon & Business to Business Expo followed by lunch with Lt. Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti telling her inspirational story.
Sanguinetti is serving the residents of the Illinois as their 47th lieutenant governor. She is a working mother of three and an attorney by trade. She was formerly an adjunct professor of law and a Wheaton City Councilwoman. Following her graduation, from Florida International University, she moved to Chicago to attend The John Marshall Law School where she developed an understanding and passion for the law and for Illinois. Evelyn soon joined Illinois Attorney General Jim Ryan's office as an Assistant Attorney General.
In 2010, she suffered an accident while walking on Wheaton city property. Subsequent medical examinations revealed that she has multiple sclerosis. She vowed to never let her MS stop her. She proceeded to run for, and win, an election to the Wheaton City Council on a platform of delivering efficient, streamlined government.
As Lt. Governor of Illinois, Sanguinetti is committed to fighting for all Illinois residents. She will apply the same passion to her new role that has propelled her throughout her life, from humble beginnings in Hialeah, Fla. to becoming Illinois' first Latina lieutenant governor.
Admission is $35 for members of the six Chambers of Commerce and $50 for nonmembers. Register by Friday, Sept. 18. The Expo is looking for vendors who are looking to promote their business and share what services or products they have available.
