Art fair in Palatine presents visual delights
Downtown Palatine hosted the work of dozens of Midwestern artists over the weekend, along with live music and a wine tasting during the Palatine Jaycees' 11th annual juried art fair titled An Art Affair Around the Square.
Artists from all specialties, including watercolor, acrylic, oil, pottery, fine jewelry, photography and ceramics, were represented.
The event is one of several the Palatine Jaycees host every year to serve the community. Others include the Fourth of July Hometown Fest, Christmas tree sales and an Easter egg hunt. With close to 100 members, the group is one of the largest Jaycees chapters in Illinois.
