Nonconference wins for Maine West, Rolling Meadows

Maine West 2, Schurz 0: Joey Pulvino opened the scoring in the fifth minute of play with a header assisted by Edgar Montesinos, and the host Warriors went on to claim a nonconference boys socccer victory.

In the second half, Montesinos notched his second assist of the match on a corner kick to Rafael Estrada, who headed it in the back of the net in the 66th minute.

Edgar Vallejo recorded his second shutout in goal as Maine West (2-6-2) picked up its second victory of the season.

Rolling Meadows 1, CL South 0: The Mustangs made a first-half goal by Edgar Avolos hold up to claim a nonconference win. Erik Gruettner made 5 saves for Rolling Meadows (5-2) to earn the shutout over the Gators (4-2-3)
