Joliet Catholic 41, Carmel 21: The host Hilltoppers led 21-0 at halftime of the East Suburban Catholic Conference opener for both teams.

Joliet Catholic improved to 3-0, while Carmel fell to 0-3.

JCA's Michael Johnson rushed for 173 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Carmel got on the board in the third quarter on Jeremy Strutzel's 20-yard TD run.
