Kentucky clerk showed religious courage

Unfortunately a reader from Woodstock recently had to share his limited knowledge of how gracious our Lord really is and my fear is most people's skewed opinions are the same.

He asks how can we believe in a vindictive God? Exactly how is sending your only son to die a brutal death for our sake vindictive?

To pick and choose which parts of the word of God you'd like to obey is not obedience; it is making yourself to be wiser than God.

To be clear, our loving God will not be mocked and his holiness can't be where there is darkness. The very reason he sent his son is for people who say I like a world where I am wiser than my creator, and I'm all for the love thing but in the world according to me if it feels right, do it.

News flash: God is not saving us from him; he is lovingly saving us from ourselves and our foolish pride. To clear this up, Kim Davis could have resigned and sued to regain her employment or get punitive damage, but she chose to stand for her Faith despite all you mockers.

How many of you comfort-loving Christians in name only would have the courage to do the same? Truth be told, I am not sure I would have taken the road less traveled as she did.
