First West Nile case reported in DuPage County

A Carol Stream woman is the first person to be treated for West Nile virus this year in DuPage County, health department officials said Thursday.

The woman was not hospitalized, officials said, and her symptoms have been resolved after a brief illness.

The health department reminds residents that despite the cool, rainy weather they should continue to protect themselves against mosquito bites.
