Geneva church welcomes new assistant minister, renews commitment to religious education
The Rev. Scott Talbot Lewis joined the Unitarian Universalist Society of Geneva as the new assistant minister for Lifespan Religious Education on Sept. 1.
Lewis brings six years of ministerial experience and more than two decades of working with children, youth and families both in religious communities and as a youth services librarian.
His hiring represents a major commitment to expanding and enhancing its religious education programs. "We welcome Scott and this new and exciting chapter for our church," said the Rev. Dr. Lindsay Bates, senior minister. "Our religious education program was already one of our strengths and Scott's enthusiasm and expertise will further enhance the opportunities for our members and their families."
Lewis said, "I'm thrilled to join the UUSG community and build on the nurturing and thought-provoking programming for both children and adults."
