Leela Arts Center in Des Plaines opens box office

The Leela Arts Center has opened a box office at the theater, 620 Lee St. In Des Plaines. It will be open from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and one hour before scheduled show times.

"We wanted to add another means for our customers to purchase tickets," said Charlie Beck, operator of the theater. The on-site box office joins the websites leelaartscenter.com and brownpapertickets.com, and the (800) 838-3006 service line where patrons can get information about scheduled shows and order tickets.

"Comedy Sportz" continues as the leadoff show in the newly reopened arts center on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. through Sept. 12.
