Carmel can't stop powerful Waukesha West

Waukesha West 28, Carmel 7: The Corsairs jumped out to an early lead on Rondel Jamison's 3-yard touchdown run, but the Wisconsin hosts rattled off 28 straight points to win the season opener.

Waukesha West scored late in the opening half to tie the game and then went ahead 14-7. Carmel was driving and had the ball inside its opponent's 30. But Waukesha West scooped up a fumble and returned it for a score.

"We had a decent chance to beat them," Carmel coach Andy Bitto said. "And we failed."
