No surprise we're ripped off at pumps
If the Whiting refinery's reduced production is affecting supply and causing a price spike, why is gas at the pump in Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin 30-40 cents per gallon cheaper? I recently purchased gas in Indiana and Michigan to avoid getting ripped off.
I suspect exorbitant gas prices in Illinois is another example of consumers getting gouged. Someone is taking advantage of the "maintenance" at the refinery to make a lot of money at our expense. In Illinois, this shouldn't surprise anyone.
