Safety Dog bus tour in Schaumburg Thursday

The Safety Dog Bus Tour, created in partnership by school transportation company First Student and the National Safety Council (NSC), will provide tours from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, in the north parking lot of at the Schaumburg Township District Library.

The program is designed to end preventable injuries by promoting safe bus behavior through hands-on games and activities. Children will experience a First Student bus, learn what it takes to be a Safety Top Dog, get a chance to "Walk the Yellow Carpet," and have a photo shoot with Safety Dog.

No registration is needed for this free program. The library is located at 130 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.
