Flood insurance discounts available for Lake County landowners

Property owners in unincorporated Lake County may be eligible to save more than $238 a year on their flood insurance policies.

Residents who meet certain requirements are eligible for up to a 20 percent savings on flood insurance premiums through the federal Community Rating System Program, which Lake County has participated in since 2008.
