Woodland School celebrates new playground

Woodland Primary School will host a dedication ceremony to celebrate the completion of its new playground at noon, Wednesday, Aug. 26. It'll be at the school, 17366 W. Gages Lake Road, unincorporated Gages Lake. The celebration will include an appearance by Gurnee-based Woodland Elementary District 50's mascot, Wiley the Wildcat. "I am so excited to announce the completion of this project," said Principal Stacey Anderson. "This wonderful new playground will serve the children and families of our community for many years to come. In addition it supports our healthy initiatives to get children moving every day and socializing with their peers."
