Boys golf: Magee, White pace Mundelein's win

The Mundelein boys golf team won its own invitational at the Hawthorn Woods Country Club on Monday.

The Mustangs finished with a 144, followed by Stevenson's 156.

Lake Zurich placed fourth with a 175.

Ryan Magee and Tyler White of Mundelein took first and second place respectively. Magee finished with a 33 and White had a 34. Alex Kim of Stevenson placed fourth with a 36.

Girls golf

Barrington takes first: At the Bonnie Dundee Golf Course, the Barrington girls placed first in their own invitational.

With a 297, Barrington beat out second-place Libertyville (318).

Megan Sturonas of Libertyville had a 74 and placed fourth overall. Alexia Fidman of Stevenson placed fifth with a 75.
