Sherman Hospital celebrates new healing courtyard

Advocate Sherman Hospital recently hosted a dedication ceremony for its newly renovated Hoffer Healing Courtyard.

The courtyard was created through the philanthropic support of William and Taffy Hoffer and the Hoffer Foundation.

It is designed as a healing space where patients, visitors and staff can enjoy a respite in a natural setting that provides distractions to reduce stress.

Design features include a fountain, bereavement garden rocking chairs and benches, and a shade gazebo, to name a few.
