Moderators to blame for debate problems
It's easy to pile on Donald Trump, but is that the real problem with this or future debates?
The truth is media moderators format is a disservice by focusing on candidate social missteps, instead of forcing them to focus on policy.
We have a lot of problems in this country: deteriorating Infrastructure, mediocre education system, a tax code that rewards corporations for taking jobs offshore, destruction of our fresh water aquifers, increasingly shrinking of the middle class and an increasing poverty rate.
These are just a few, and worst yet a Congress that is so tied to it's conservative or progressive ideology, monetarily influenced by special interests that they are "blind" to what average Americans need. In reality the president is the only one that can speak out on those issues to put us back on the right road. Yes, he needs Congress to enact change, but I'd like to know what these GOP candidates are going to move to correct our deficiencies.
So the consequences are the media moderators, the Fourth Estate, fall into the trap of "reputation smearing" for "gotcha" politics, instead of representing what's important to this country.
Ask yourself, What's more important to you as a citizen of this country, knowing where each candidate stands on. What are their ideas are on fixing infrastructure, having the corporate tax code that produces more jobs, making sure our children once again have the best education system in the world, protecting our fresh water sources, ending the shrinking middle class and making sure our poverty rate is reversed?
These are just a few issues we need answers, and not who said something that wasn't politically correct.
