Robbery reported at Arlington Heights motel

Arlington Heights police are investigating a report of a robbery Tuesday in which a patron at the Red Roof Inn was assaulted.

According to police reports, a man entered an open motel room between 7:20 and 7:30 a.m. in the hotel at 22 W. Algonquin Road, hit a victim on the head and demanded money.

The robber was described as a black male, 30-40 years old, bald, 5-foot-5, 150 to 160 pounds and wearing a white tank top and black jeans.
