Elk Grove Township tax appeal seminar on Aug. 20

Updated Aug. 11 to correct the day of the week to Thursday.

Elk Grove Township residents are invited to learn how to appeal their property tax assessments at a seminar held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20 at the Elk Grove Township Office, 2400 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Board of Review Commissioner Dan Patlak will explain the appeal procedure, and taxpayers will work with Board of Review staffers to address their specific questions and concerns. The hour long session will also provide information on exemptions, and why property taxes go up when the value of your home goes down. Free.
