Hot Dog Richie's Hosts Childhood Cancer Awareness Fundraiser
Hot Dog Richie's recently celebrated its 40th year in Palatine, and now the fast-food restaurant is celebrating another milestone - native Rosie Colucci's 11th birthday.
The Palatine girl has been living with an inoperable brain tumor since she was an infant, and has undergone numerous operations and treatments to improve her quality of life.
This coming Saturday, August 15 between 10:30 a.m. and 10 p.m., area residents are invited to stop in for lunch or dinner, and 15% of the day's proceeds will be donated to Rosie, to help her shed a light on, and increase awareness of all childhood cancers.
Rosie wants to 'Go Gold' and raise funds for a 7-foot tall, 22-foot wide sign that reads HOPE in gold lights, to be displayed atop the Novak Construction building on I-94 heading into Chicago in September, to light up the Chicago sky and cast a spotlight on all children who are battling cancer.
So stop by, grab a bite to eat and help spread awareness.
