Culver's of Lake Zurich hosts "Scoops of Thanks Day" to support Illinois FFA Chapter August 11
Anyone with a sweet tooth can stop by Culver's of Lake Zurich Tuesday, August 11, 2015, for a special treat in celebration of the restaurant chain's "Scoops of Thanks Day." Enjoy a single scoop of Fresh Frozen Custard in exchange for a $1 donation thanking local farmers.
"Scoops of Thanks" is part of the Culver's Thank You, Farmers program, an initiative that recognizes all farmers for their hard work growing and producing the food that feeds our nation. Proceeds raised at the Lake Zurich location (645 N. Rand Rd.) will benefit the Illinois FFA chapter.
"We want our guests to share our tremendous gratitude for the abundant food American farm families provide," says Steve Anichini, owner of Culver's of Lake Zurich. "We're excited to set aside a day when the entire Culver's community can make a contribution that supports the next generation of farmers."
The chain-wide event will donate to various agricultural groups selected by each restaurant. To date, the Thank You, Farmers program has raised more than a half million dollars in support of the National FFA Organization and Foundation, local FFA chapters and a variety of local agricultural organizations.
