It's 1934, and Shakespeare's most famous fairies, Oberon and Puck, have magically materialized on the Warner Bros. Hollywood set of Max Reinhardt's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Instantly smitten by the glitz and glamour of show biz, the two are ushered onto the silver screen to play (who else?) themselves.

Roles to be cast include eight males, four females; Oberon, Puck, Jack Warner, Max Reinhardt, Will Hays, Daryl, Olivia Darnell, Lydia Lancing, Louella Parsons, Dick Powell, Jimmy Cagney and Joe E. Brown.

Ken Ludwig's "Shakespeare in Hollywood" will be directed by Dennis Brown, Vero Voce co-owner, produced by Dawn Harkins Vero Voce co-owner and David Rodriguez, artistic director.

The production will run Friday, Oct. 2 through Sunday, Oct. 18, at Vero Voce. Actors are asked to prepare one comedic monologue of 30 to 45 seconds; one dramatic monologue of 30 to 45 seconds; bring a headshot and resume. You will be asked to read scenes from the script at the audition. To schedule a time, visit verovoce.com/theatre/auditions.
