Hoffman Estates woman pleads guilty to battery of an officer
A 21-year-old Hoffman Estates woman was sentenced to 30 months probation and ordered to pay $694 in fines in exchange for pleading guilty to aggravated battery to a police officer.
Sierra Smith, sentenced last week, was also ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation and follow any treatment recommendations, according to court records.
After her April 2015 arrest on charges of driving without a valid license, Smith struggled with officers, kicking them in the shins and knees, prosecutors said during her bond hearing.
Smith had been free on a $10,000 individual recognizance bond.
