Seniors speed-dating in 'The Age of Love' film at ECC

Hanover Township will host a screening of "The Age of Love," a documentary on senior citizen speed dating. "The Age of Love" follows the comic and poignant adventures of 30 seniors who attend a first of its kind speed dating event for 70 to 90 year olds. They then discover how the search for love changes - or doesn't change - from first love to the far reaches of life.

The screening will be offered at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12, at Elgin Community College, Building E. Tickets are $10 each or a table of six for $50. There is no township residency or age restriction, all are invited to attend.

"This is definitely something out-of-the-box that everyone will enjoy," said Senior Services program manager Kristine Cable. "The documentary provides an eye-opening account of senior citizens that are not allowing their age to affect their search for love."

Dessert will be provided. A question-and-answer session will follow the screening, led by Senior Services staff members.
