Cell towers have no place in forest preserves

I recently read where Lake County is considering placing cell towers in the forest preserve. As a big supporter of the forest preserves, I am appalled.

I have voted yes for every referendum they have put on the ballot to maintain the beautiful preserves and purchase additional preserves. I use the forest preserves weekly. I enjoy the beautiful trails, the foliage and the wildlife. For anyone who has never used the preserves your're missing out on one of Lake County's greatest assets.

Now the county's thinking of defacing the preserves with cell towers? Seriously! How could anyone possibly think a cell tower belongs in a forest preserve?
