Big band and dancing Saturday at historic Des Plaines campground

The Historic Methodist Campground in Des Plaines will host a 1940s USO Night Saturday featuring a 16-piece orchestra in the campground's dining hall.

Music by the Falconaires Orchestra, dancing and refreshments begin at 6:30 p.m. Attendees are welcome to dress in period clothing. Early bird tickets can be purchased for $8 at the Des Plaines History Center. Tickets at the door will cost $10.
