Police: Arlington Heights girl dies in 'apparent drug overdose'

A 17-year-old girl from Arlington Heights was found unresponsive in a Libertyville residence early Sunday morning in an "apparent drug overdose," according to Libertyville police.

A resident in the home where she was found on the 1500 block of West Park Avenue found the girl unresponsive and called 911 just before 7 a.m.

Police say the girl was unresponsive when first responders arrived and never regained consciousness.

A toxicology report is being conducted to help determine what drugs were involved in the "apparent drug overdose," Libertyville police said.
