Fox Lake cardboard boat race

The Fox Lake Cardboard Cup Regatta will take place on Sunday, Aug. 16, at Lakefront Park, 71 Nippersink Blvd., downtown Fox Lake. The annual event features boats made entirely out of cardboard and duct tape to race before they sink. The event kicks off with registration and on-site boat building at 8 a.m. The boat races will take place at noon.
