Wayside Ministries plans open house

After four years of planning and 22 months of construction, Aurora-based Wayside Cross Ministries has a new 47,000-square-foot, four-story home.

The public is invited to see the new facility during an open house from noon to 4 p.m. Friday, July 24, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at 215 E. New York St., Aurora.

"On behalf of the entire WCM staff, volunteers and board of directors, I am deeply and humbly grateful to everyone who helped make this new ministry home possible," said James Lukose, executive director.

"I hope you will choose to experience this blessing of God personally when you join us for our open house on July 24 and 25. Please come celebrate with us during this important and joyous time in our history - and our future."

The new building contains the general offices, the men's ministry, classrooms, counseling offices, kitchen facilities and dining hall. The living quarters are designed to serve the Master's Touch Ministry for men enrolled in 7- to 18-month programs.
