Project Two Music to perform at Huntley High

Project Two Music will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at Huntley High School, 13719 Harmony Road, Huntley.

This is the only local performance of Project Two this season.

The musical group is codirected by Dylan Ladd, Valparaiso University, and Kyle Schneider, Northern Illinois University.

"This is very exciting to have the opportunity to come back to Huntley," Ladd said. "Many of us grew up and went to school here, it's quite the experience to come back."

The group performs songs from "Jersey Boys," "Grease" and "Motown the Musical." This is also the first show Project Two will perform since expanding the band.

Ladd is joined by vocalists Abby Gleason, Tyler Darnell and Andrianna Martinez. Schneider (bass guitar/vocals) is joined by instrumentalists Diana Pacyga (piano/vocals), Chris Aceron (guitar/vocals), Joshuan Rivera (percussion/vocals), Luke Dopke (drums), Amy Caulk (trumpet), Brendan Sugrue (tenor sax), Andrew Rewerts (baritone sax), Max Peterson (trombone), Elena Cruz-Lopez (violin) and Emily Pauline (cello).

Most of the members are college students who have a passion for music.

"Their performances are high energy, guaranteed crowd-pleasers, and offer a show jammed packed with music we all know and love," said Jane Tennant, former special events coordinator at Del Webb Sun City Huntley.

Tickets range from $10 to $15. They are on sale at projecttwomusic.com. There are discounts for children and students.

The group consists of more than 15 performers. Project Two has performed at numerous venues including many performances at Del Webb Sun City Huntley, McHenry County Fair the main stage at the Huntley Fall Fest, the historic Arcada Theater in St. Charles, Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, and Oakley Festa Pasta Vino in Chicago.
