Arlington Int'l to host Senior Celebration Day Sept. 24, Be an Exhibitor!
Enjoy the day and stay for the races this fall! The 27th Annual Senior Celebration Day, honoring our seniors and their contributions to our community, will kick off in Arlington International Racecourse Thursday, September 24, from 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Doors will open at 11 a.m.
Seniors, their families, and caregivers will have access to free health screenings and testing including cholesterol, blood pressure, bone density, balance and fall prevention, and much more from Northwest Community Healthcare.
The event will feature senior services information and over 70 exhibitors including AMITA Health Alexian Brothers Health System and the Secretary of State for Illinois Photo I.D./Driver's License renewal. Discounted lunch will be available as well as raffle prizes and live musical entertainment.
"We are very excited to offer the event in the fall this year," District 214 Community Education Director Mike Field said. "We hope everyone will take advantage of the exhibits, screenings, and testing." Committee members have worked very hard since May to bring this great event together and we hope our seniors will find the day informative, beneficial and fun, he added.
The exhibitor committee is now accepting applications for premier and standard booths. Save $50 by registering before July 31. The annual celebration, held in May in past years, is organized by a committee of more than 20 staff members from organizations in the Northwest suburbs.
