Man injured in Oak Brook crash

Oak Brook Police and Fire Department officials found an unidentified man lying on the roadway following an accident early Saturday afternoon.

Police received a report of a single car crashing into the guardrail at the intersection of 35th Street and the old St. Paschal friary at Route 83 just before 2 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a man going into and out of consciousness with an apparent back injury. He was transported to an area hospital for medical care.

Police would not release any information about or description of the victim or the vehicle as the crash is still under investigation.
