Morry Sochat and The Special 20s to play in Hoffman Estates

The Hoffman Estates Arts Commission and the Hoffman Estates Park District welcome Morry Sochat and The Special 20s to the Village Green in the western part of the village. The bluesy band will take the stage 7 p.m. Thursday, July 23, as part of the "Summer Sounds on the Green" concert series.

Morry Sochat and The Special 20s will rock the amphitheater with a marvelous mix classic of Chicago blues, swing and rock 'n' roll from the '50s as influenced by the best in blues history.

This concert is the fifth in a series of eight summer shows. All performances take place on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. The Virginia Mary Hayter Village Green is located at 5510 Prairie Stone Parkway across the street from the Sears Centre Arena, off Route 72 in the Poplar Creek at 59/90 "Entertainment District."

Admission is free. Bring a blanket and picnic to the amphitheater. Glass bottles, glasses or glass containers are not allowed.

Levy Restaurants will be selling a variety of food, including pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, nachos and gluten-free snacks, at the concession stand. Beer, wine and mixed drinks will also be available for purchase.
