Village of Bartlett to Host Community Blood Drive Sat 7/25

The Village of Bartlett will be hosting its free prescription drug drop off and community blood drive in support of National Night Out on Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. The prescription drug drop off will be held inside Village Hall and the blood drive will be held inside the Heartland Blood Centers' mobile coach vehicle that will be parked in the Village Hall parking lot located at 228 S. Main Street. All blood donors will receive a free National Night Out t-shirt.

Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment by visiting www.heartlandbc.org and then clicking on the "New Donor Portal and Online Scheduling System" button located on the right side of the webpage or by contacting Heartland Blood Centers' representative Therese Frawley at 630-723-2565. Walk-in appointments are also available to donors who are not able to schedule an appointment in advance.

Potential blood donors must be at least 17-years-old, weigh at least 110 pounds, be symptom free of cold, flu, & allergies, and be in general good health. The donation process takes about an hour from start to finish, which includes a registration, a health history survey, a blood pressure, and an iron level check.
