Des Plaines Office Equipment receives award

ELK GROVE VILLAGE - Des Plaines Office Equipment was chosen by Smart Business Magazine as the recipient of its "2015 Family Business Achievement Award."

Des Plaines Office Equipment was one of 11 businesses selected from the Greater Chicago area for the honor. Smart Business Magazine officials dubbed the winners as "The Class of 2015," with presentations being made during the Family Business Conference held recently at the University of Chicago's Gleacher Conference Center.

Companies were selected following a rigorous nomination and evaluation process, and winning companies were selected on the basis of having demonstrated a strong commitment to both business and community, and who are engaged in innovative practices and strategies designed to enhance the business dynamic.

The awards were presented as part of the half-day conference, with keynote speakers and panelists who shared real life examples of what constitutes success in business. Des Plaines Office Equipment, a second-generation family business celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, was represented by owners Chip and Vic Miceli, as well as third-generation family members Nicole Miceli-Pawlowski and Paul Miceli.
