Batavia's Windmill City Festival a flurry of family fun

The Windmill City Festival in Batavia on Saturday was a nonstop flurry of activity - from the pet parade to the diaper derby, carnival, golf, Wiffle ball, karaoke and more.

Expect Sunday to be just as action-packed. Besides the craft show, golf challenge and carnival, the ice cream eating contest begins at 2 p.m. and the fire hose challenge at 3 p.m., both at the Riverwalk.

To eat from the 100-foot gutter of ice cream, register between 1:15 and 1:45 p.m.

And if you want to take part in the fire hose challenge, you must 5 or older.

Hours for the Sunday festival are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. For a schedule, visit windmillcityfest.org. Admission is free.
