Police: Motorcyclist hurt after crashing in I-90 toll plaza near Elgin

A motorcycle driver was seriously injured Friday night after losing control and crashing at a toll plaza on I-90 near Elgin, according to Illinois State Police.
As a result of the crash, the westbound cash lanes of the Elgin Toll Plaza, Plaza 9, were closed shortly after the crash around 8 p.m. and reopened later Friday.
The motorcycle driver was taken to Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin. The crash is under investigation, police said.
