Kiwanis Record Setting Breakfast

The Kiwanis Club of Lake Bluff and Lake Forest reported record attendance at their 44th Annual Fourth of July Pancake Breakfast, which was held at the Lake Bluff Village Green before the Lake Bluff parade.

As a result of the generosity of local residents and businesses, the Kiwanis group was able to raise more than $10,000 in three hours (not counting the months of preparation). These proceeds, along with proceeds from other Kiwanis fundraisers, will be donated to local charities and Eliminate, a joint project with Kiwanis International and UNICEF to eradicate maternal neonatal tetanus.

For those who are ready for more pancakes, Kiwanis will host Breakfast with Santa at Grace United Methodist Church in Lake Bluff Saturday, Dec. 5, and at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Forest Saturday, Dec. 12.
