Chick-fil-a hosts blood drive
Chicago-area Chick-fil-A restaurants will team with Heartland Blood Centers to host blood drives between July 6 and 10. All participating donors will receive a complimentary Chick-fil-A meal and Target Gift Card. "Through the efforts of participating Chicagoland Chick-fil-A restaurants, they will help us to collect more than 500 pints of blood saving over 1,500 lives," said Amy Smith, director of recruitment for Heartland Blood Centers. Interested donors can signup at their participating Chick-fil-A restaurant, visit www.heartlandbc.org to see dates, times and locations of their nearest Chick-fil-A blood drive event or call 1-800-7TO-GIVE. Blood donors need to be at least 17 years old, 16 with written parental consent, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health. Most medications are accepted. Bring photo identification such as a driver's license, state ID or passport.
