People who pulled off $120,000 Oak Brook robbery may have been caught out-of-state

Oak Brook police said some or all of the nine masked burglars who robbed the Louis Vuitton store at Oakbrook Center last September have been apprehended by police in Edina, Minnesota, in connection with the robbery of a Louis Vuitton store there on Wednesday.

According to a media release from the Oak Brook Police Department, the people arrested by Minnesota police are connected to the Chicago area and some or all may be linked to the Oak Brook robbery.

Last September, burglars escaped with more than 50 pieces of merchandise worth more than $120,000 from the luxury purse maker, authorities said.

To pull off the heist, the burglars crashed a minivan through the front doors and eight people wearing masks and gloves entered the business, while the driver waited in the vehicle.

The media release urged anyone with information on the crime to contact the Oak Brook Police department at (630) 368-8702.
