Arlington Heights police seek help identifying trio who stole $1,600 in liquor
Arlington Heights police say they are attempting to identify three people who stole more than $1,600 worth of liquor from a Jewel-Osco in June.
According to police, two men and one woman worked together to steal from the store at Rand and Palatine roads after midnight on June 10.
A 5'11" black man weighing about 140 lbs. and wearing a black and red Chicago Bulls cap with a black T-shirt and white shorts with black stripes entered the back storeroom on the Osco side, filled a shopping cart with $1,600 worth of liquor and left, according to police.
As a distraction, a second man, described by police as a 5'6" black man weighing about 140 lbs. and wearing a black cap with a red emblem and a black shirt with black shorts, entered the store and began shopping. The shorter man filled the cart with items from the front of the store, then went to the check-out lane. He told the person at the register that he left money in his car and left the store.
A 5'8" black woman weighing about 160 lbs. who had black hair with blonde streaks and a tattoo on her upper left arm also entered the store to distract employees, police said.
Anyone with information about the robbery should contact Arlington Heights police at (847) 368-5300.
