Round Lake man gets 42 months for child porn possession

A Round Lake man has been sentenced to 42 months in prison for possession of child pornography. James Weedon, 63, was also sentenced to 24 months of probation and 6 months of periodic imprisonment after the negotiated plea deal approved in court Monday, Assistant State's Attorney George Pappas said. Weedon will be required to register as a sex offender for life upon his release, and he will not be allowed to have unsupervised visits with any child under the age of 17, Pappas said. Weeden was charged with possession of child pornography after authorities found numerous still images and videos on various electronic devices seized from him in December. Weeden was remanded to jail after the plea of guilty was approved Monday, Pappas said.
