The Dirty Girl Mud Run, a 3.1-mile obstacle course run for women of all ages and athletic abilities across the country, visited the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates Saturday.
It was a natural venue, given that one of the sponsors is the Kenmore appliance brand sold by Hoffman Estates-based Sears Holdings Corp.
The runs founded in 2011 are over an untimed obstacle course that inspires women to run, walk, climb, jump and laugh their way through, encouraging friendship, teamwork and fitness.
The events are produced by Human Movement Management, a company in the active entertainment industry, headquartered in Louisville, Colorado, in association with Bright Pink, a nonprofit focused on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women, while providing support for high-risk individuals.
